\nThe E-drenaline brings to life a long-standing ideal: a generation of electric karts able to handle the same \u201cworkload\u201d as regular karts powered by internal combustion engines, integrating the CRG Centurion line of rental karts with a revolutionary product that has no rivals on the market.
\nThe E-drenaline innovation draws its competitive advantage from the unique collaboration with the Linde Group<\/a>. In fact, while CRG took care of mechanical and chassis engineering, the electrical and electronic aspect was developed by the German multinational, a long-standing leader in industrial transportation technologies.<\/p>\n

Specifically, Linde supported the project through its eMotion division, which specializes in the development of powertrains for use in sectors other than those in which its solutions stand unmatched.<\/p>\n

Fruit of this exclusive synergy, the CRG Centurion E-drenaline is a truly revolutionary product that introduces brand new standards into the rental sector.<\/p>\n

The starter system is chip-activated and has to be preset to one of three skill levels, based on the customer\u2019s proven driving ability: Junior, Standard, or Professional. The three settings offer the same power potential, but yield a different output response, ranging from softer to more extreme and quick reactions.
\nIn addition, the E-drenaline is equipped with reverse gear so that, in case of accident, the driver can reposition himself in the correct direction without having to step out of the vehicle.<\/p>\n

The E-drenaline concept also introduces new on-track remote control technology. Instead of relying on standard vehicle deactivation by the track manager, the new system is based on the segmentation of the track into separately controlled power sectors by way of magnetic bands. In case of accident, track operators can thus lower the speed of karts in the specific section(s) that constitute a danger area. Once past the section, karts regain their maximum velocity potential.<\/p>\n

In addition, tracks using E-drenaline vehicles are equipped with a GPS system that allows to inspect the \u201cvital signs\u201d of every kart on track each time it crosses the finish-line. If the system registers a malfunction on any of the vehicles in the fleet, it automatically produces two outbound messages, one directed at the closest replacement warehouse and the other to the closest tech shop, for quick and efficient maintenance.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s start from the driver seat. Other than the adjustment lever located below the seat, all other controls are integrated in the high-tech steering wheel, including\u00a0 a \u201cboost\u201d button for extra power and two buttons for pedal adjustment. In addition, the digital control panel allows drivers to monitor a whole range of factors, like RPMs, battery charge level, engine temperature, speed, electronic error warnings and KERS use.<\/p>\n

Moving on to power. The E-drenaline is equipped with twin electric engines, two semi-axles with electronic differential, and electric controlled rear brakes with kinetic energy recovery system (KERS) set at 80% rear (the stock setting can be adjusted). In addition, the front axle is equipped with mechanical brakes for emergency braking and sudden deceleration maneuvers.<\/p>\n

The kart is also equipped with lithium 100 A batteries that offer 1 hour and 20 minutes of continual use with a standard set-up and 3,000 full recharge cycles. (Recharge times depend on the charger used. As a reference, a 100 A charger goes from 0 to 100% in 1 hour).<\/p>\n

Standard batteries can be replaced with 60 A batteries, which yield 40 minutes of continual use, for significant reduction in overall kart weight.<\/p>\n
